Also, a Cash Stream

As the Reporter tells us:

... DreamWorks Animation and Netflix have been putting the finishing touches on a streaming rights deal for DWA films that could be announced in the coming days. ...

It's always good to find new income sources, yes? I expect an announcement on the groundbreaking for DreamWorksLand in the relatively near future. Rides of all descriptions ... and balloons for the kids.

To tell you the truth it's kind of hard to avoid it in this business......as LOTS of people out there know.

Actually, Shark Tale was a hit. It made money, much more than I think they expected.

And in case you haven't seen them, the Shrek films(with exception of the third one), How To Train Your Dragon and Panda are all super popular and in a couple of cases, wonderful movies. Audiences agree which is why Dreamworks is still around and is the largest indie animation studio.
But nice try.

The dw cartoons are like sugar cereal. Ugly to look at (for the most part), and entertaining enough for 80 minutes. But they don't really last, and people don't really care about them. HTTYD was the closest thing to a step in the right direction, but even that was by the numbers and a mishmash.

But they don't really last, and people don't really care about them.

Yeah, nobody cares about them, except movie-goers around the world, who attend DW movies at about the same rate that they attend Pixar movies, and who clearly favor DW movies over those of Blue Sky or Disney or any other studio you'd care to name.

The first step to getting better is admitting you're a Pixie. The second step is stay off of the adults professional blogs and just stick to your own fanboy/Pixie sites.

If you're such a fan of animation you would realize you just insulted 2/3 of the animation community (if not the entire community)

So is Disney.

I'd go as far as to say the same thing about Sony too.

I'd go as far as to say the same thing about every studio...including (wait for it) Pixar. You think they're not interested in making money? Then look at Cars 2. They just hide it better than most and have convinced enough people that their shit smells like flowers.
